Jeff and Debbie Visner founded Design/Build by Visner over 26 years ago and have been creating unique, one-of-a-kind custom homes and businesses since. The Visner’s credit their success to a passion for design, knowledge of construction, ability to manage, and the enjoyment and friendship they share with their clients. A great deal of attention is given to the site, architectural design, aesthetics, and the desires and requirements of those they work for. The long standing motto of Design/Build by

A graduate of Central Michigan University, Jeff started
Design/Build by Visner in 1978. The company first
operated in Lansing, Michigan and was later moved to
Geneva Lake, Wisconsin, in 1980. This move was a
result of Jeff’s desire to design and build more
creative and imaginative homes that were typical of
this lake environment. While the company was located
in the Geneva Lake area, Design/Build by Visner
completed over 100 projects a year and employed an
average of 40 craftsmen. There are many projects
on the shore of Geneva Lake and in the surrounding
area that have been designed and built by Visner.
One of these projects is the renowned Geneva Inn
located on the southeast shore of Geneva Lake.

The appreciation of the northwoods
and the desire to build Log and
Timber Frame homes was the reason Design/Build by Visner moved to Eagle River, Wisconsin in 1995. Many log and timber projects have been designed and built in the tall pines and along the abundant shorelines that are in this area.
